The glen plaid on this tropical wool is so deep and dark that you almost have to be looking for it to clock the pattern. It reads solid at first glance, making it an especially easy suit to wear and pair through spring and summer. A real second-look type of piece, in more ways than one. This suit is our No. 4 make, almost fully handmade, which means more time in our Neapolitan tailors' hands... in fact, the jacket alone requires a full ten hours’ worth of tailoring before it leaves the workshop. The shoulder, lining, darts, buttonholes, buttons, and several other elements are sewn by hand, and you can feel it when you put it on. It's almost like the seams move with you. It's cut in our Virgil model, which has a natural shoulder, a 3-roll-2 lapel, and a shorter body with no front darts at all. Think old-school 'sack suit,' but sexier. The trousers, too, are designed to complement the jacket, with a trim-but-not-tight leg that looks great with a cuff. They've also got a dak waistband with adjuster tabs that give the whole suit a more trussed-up look. The Virgil silhouette has a slightly more American feel than the Kincaid or the Landry, but just like all of our tailored clothing, it's designed to take you from Mississippi to Milan — and back again — without looking or feeling out of place.

We organize our tailored clothing into different levels of makes, similar to the way some German automakers have different series of cars.
Our sportiest, most casual make — unconstructed, with no canvas at all. The knockaround.
Our “easy” make, refined yet relaxed, with a lightweight, single-layer canvas. The basic.
Our “house” make and the one that started it all, with a structured, 3-layer canvas. The workhorse.
Our sarto make, with more handwork and a more natural, lightweight-yet-dense 2-layer canvas. The upgrade.
True sarto, with the same canvas as the No. 4, but completely handmade. The top of the line.
