ON THE ROAD

Our On the Road program — really, our traveling men’s shop — began in 2016 as a way to take care of guys located outside of our store markets. Each season, we hit several cities across the US, setting up in a hotel suite or clubhouse with a small team & our Master Tailor to create a full-on customer experience much like we do in our brick-and-mortar shops. We bring a selection of the newest seasonal fabrics for Made-to-Measure (plus some year-round classics and Sid's forever favorites), along with a selection of off-the-rack items including suits, jackets, shirts, trousers, shoes, and accessories.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should I come see you on the road?
We started doing this to bring the in-store experience to guys who can't just walk into one of our shops. When you make an appointment, you can come get fitted for a custom-tailored suit or shirt, but you can also just browse. You can touch and feel and try on our product in person (e-commerce is cool, but it can be hard to buy something sight unseen.) You can begin a relationship with one of our associates. You can get your measurements taken — we'll keep them on file, and from then on out, you can shop with us from anywhere in the world. And since we bring our lead tailor and team, you can get our expert opinion on fit. You can also just come in, take a look around, and see what we're all about.


Why do I have to make an appointment?
We know the 'appointment-only' designation can be intimidating, but it's really just to make sure we can properly take care of you without making you wait around. The vibe in the suite isn't too formal — in fact, it's pretty low-key — but we like to make sure that we have dedicated time blocked off for each customer so that we can take our time getting to know you and understanding your needs.


How much time will it take?
You can hang out as long as you like, but appointments generally take between 30 and 60 minutes. Even if you only have a small window, it's still worth it to come in and get your measurements taken for us to keep on file.


Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
Yes! We can easily accommodate two guys in the same appointment slot, and a lot of people find the whole process less intimidating (also, more fun) when they show up together. We've got enough swatches and silhouettes to choose from so that you won't walk out looking the same.


What do you bring?
When we go on the road, the focus is generally on our MTM programs... suiting, shirting, and trousers. So we'll have the newest seasonal swatches, as well as the year-round, tried-and-true fabrics that we keep in stock 365 days a year. We always bring a full set of try-on suits and shirts, which are a helpful starting point to determine if stock or MTM is a better fit for you. That said, we'll also have a few seasonal tailored pieces, as well as a small selection of ready-to-wear favorites (sweaters, jeans, shoes, sport shirts, pocket squares) that you can take home the same day. Want to try on a specific item? Email us a few days before your appointment, and we will do our best to bring it.


What if I can't make it over there?
A lot of our customers can't easily get away from work when we're in town. We can come to you – just get a few friends together and we'll bring the setup to your office or home. (We're able to travel for groups of 3 or more.) It's a great excuse to get away from your desk for an hour... and there might be a couple of guys at your office in need of sartorial help.


When can I expect my order?
Alterations on ready-to-wear items will ship within 2 weeks of the appointment. MTM shirts will ship within 4 weeks of the appointment. (Note that if it's your first time, and you're ordering multiples, you'll receive just one shirt at first. That way, we can confirm with you that the fit is right before putting the others into production.) When it comes to MTM tailored pieces, we highly encourage a second fitting with us during our return trip to your city the following quarter.
