Sport Jackets

A Sid Mashburn sport jacket is designed to take you from Mississippi to Milan—and back again—without looking or feeling out of place. Each one is made with a natural shoulder and full canvas construction—for us, the sine qua non of tailoring. (We’re so serious about it that we actually make the canvas ourselves.) From our casual No. 1 all the way up to our handmade No. 5, we’ve got a suit for you… even if you’re not a suit guy. We keep an edited range of styles: the original 2-button Kincaid model (slim, with a darted front and side vents,) the 3-roll-2 Virgil (a modern take on the sack suit,) and the fuller, more traditional Landry cut. We love to pair a sport jacket with jeans all the way up to dress trousers and a tie.

We go deep on fabrics, so you’ll find plainweave, tic-weave, tweed, hopsack, and seasonal fabrics for winter (flannel, cashmere, brushed twill) and summer (seersucker, cotton poplin). From English high-twist wool to Italian sharkskin, our cloths are sourced from the very best mills all over the world. As for patterns, we’ve got a range: solid colors (classic navy and grey, but also brown and green,) windowpanes, chalk stripes, bead stripes, pinstripes, herringbones, houndstooths, glen plaids, Prince of Wales checks… the list goes on. And it doesn’t stop at the fabric. Our other materials—Bemberg lining; horsehair canvas, German interlining; buttons made from corozo, horn, and mother of pearl—are second to none.
