The shape of our shorts have all the detail of our sport trousers… they’re just a couple of feet shorter. Which means they've got a 7" inseam that hits above the knee, and corozo buttons for a little extra polish. (And we’ll occasionally make them with side-tabs instead of belt loops, for a streamlined alternative.) We traditionally make them in a variety of fabrics – seersucker in tonal colors, a cotton/linen mix (cotolino), mid-weight canvas, lightweight twill. We even do a white tennis short for the summer season – for guys who like to hit the court.
For swim shorts, we think a slightly shorter length automatically looks a little neater, so we make our nylon swim trunks with either a 4-inch or 6-inch inseam (depending on how short you want to go). They're not too torqued-up otherwise: drawstring waist, heavy-duty Velcro fly, pocket in the back, in both Bahamas-style brights and quieter neutrals.
