Spread Collar Sport Shirt Forest/Charcoal/Bone Plaid Corduroy
One of Sid's favorites of the season... yarn-dyed corduroy is one of those rarities produced by only the most skilled textile mills. The technique is tough to get right, which makes us love this one even more. The texture gives the plaid an almost dusted feel — a truly excellent cooler-weather sport shirt. It's got a modified spread collar with lightweight, nonfused interlining for a soft, relaxed look. As always, the cut is slim but never skinny, with a high armhole for mobility and a long-enough-to-stay-tucked-in shirttail. (Sid likes it this way, but you can always get it shortened.) It's made with single-needle stitching, 22 stitches/inch, flat-felled seams, and thick, 3.5mm Trocas shell buttons.

"A beautiful rarity. You don’t see yarn-dyed corduroy very often because it’s not easy to pull off. … it’s usually the product of a highly skilled mill. Balancing the pattern and the weave is really tricky. And it comes together beautifully here: not too warpy, not too wefty. I love it as an alternative to a more-expected flannel or twill. It’s got all your classic fall hallmarks — plaid, corduroy, moody colors — in one unusual mashup."
