This is our stripped-down, dressed-up take on a traditional painter’s pant, made up in a sturdy cotton canvas. Each pair is garment-dyed, giving the color a slightly lived-in, variegated quality from the get-go, with subtle highs and lows along the seams. We used the relaxed, less slim fit of our Clift Jean and added reinforced knee panels, brass rivets, slant front pockets, and rounded pockets at the back. We like them for knocking around in loafers, but like the Clift, the leg opening is wide enough to pull over a pair of boots in case a weekend DIY project comes your way.
