The Ghost Blazer

Hands-down the lightest and simplest tailored piece we've ever made, the Ghost is the blazer Sid's been wearing twice a week for the better part of a year.

Sure, it kind of looks like a normal navy blazer... but it's not. We took one of our all-time favorite suiting fabrics — 2ply high-twist wool from England — and used it for a jacket that's totally unconstructed and stripped down. No lining, no darts, pickstitched spalla camicia shirtsleeve construction, and hybrid patch-flap pockets. (Like a more dressed-up Butcher, if you're keeping score at home.)

And these crazy, almost Surrealist-feeling buttons made of unlacquered brass.

Slip it on (or take it off and hold it up to the light) and you'll see why we call it the Ghost... it's so lightweight that it feels like wearing nothing at all.

But it does everything a navy blazer ought to do. Per Sid, you can dress it as far up or down as you want: “The most elegant guy in the world could wear it and a guy in a t-shirt could wear it.”
