The Ripley shirt has a real 1950s European vacation vibe, hence the name… think Talented Mr. Ripley without all the murder, forgery, and identity theft. Just elegance and leisure. Similar to our Marquez guayabera shirt in both end use (casual) and shape (easy, meant to be worn untucked), it has a bandless spread collar and a single front pocket. This one is made from an Indian block-printed cotton — the pattern is applied by hand using carved, inked wooden blocks, pressed across the entire length of fabric block by block, then laid out on the grass to dry in the sun. As a result, each shirt gets its own subtle variation.
