Chore jackets originated in 19th-century France as garments to wear while knocking out day-to-day work (hence the name). We haven’t strayed too far from the original — simple shape, clean patch pockets at the front, an easy fit through the body — but we've taken it up a notch with corozo buttons and elevated fabric. This one's a rugged cotton canvas in a rich shade of marine blue. Not navy, not cobalt, just right. Just add a bicycle and a Nikon FM2.
