Virgil No. 3 Jacket Flax/Blue/Bone Windowpane Hopsack

This windowpane hopsack comes from Biella, Italy: a noted textile hotspot due to its alpine climate, the sheep population, and even the water quality. We've been coming back to this quality for years as a perfect late-spring-early-summer fabric. A linen-rich blend gives it breathability and drape, balanced by the temperature-regulating properties of wool, and the highs and lows in the mélange add a nicely dimensional play of light and dark. A very elegant warm-weather jacket. The No. 3 make has full canvas construction — the sine qua non of tailoring — with a special, structured three-layer canvas that'll mold and meld to your body over time. And our Virgil model has a natural shoulder, a 3-roll-2 lapel, and a shorter body with no front darts at all. Think old-school sack jacket, but sexier.
