Somewhere between a chore coat and a blazer, the Butcher might be the easiest jacket we make. This one's made from a half-and-half blend of cotton and canapa, which is a rare hemp yarn with the same kind of textured crunchiness as linen and flax. It's spun in Italy in small quantities and gets better the more you wear it, so it's especially great blended with cotton in a canvas weave. It's unlined and unstructured, with a natural shoulder and pickstitched spalla camicia shirtsleeve construction. The pockets on the front are special, too: we designed them so that you can tuck in the flaps (without looking like you just tucked in the flaps) for a more open look. There are even reinforced elbow patches to really drive the “casual” thing home. The fit of the Butcher is easy, with a touch more room in the body than our tailored jackets. And while it looks great with a polo or sneakers, you can also dress it up like a true blazer.
