We created candles — scents for your home, named for our home — and this is “his,” with notes of vetiver, rhum, cognac, and leather. Perfumed in Grasse and poured by hand in Montreal, each candle is made of a sustainable soy/coconut wax blend and housed in Mashburn-green glass with a deckle edge, foil-stamped label. 150 is named for Sid’s first apartment in New York and feels accordingly masculine yet fresh, with a scent that’s both green and smoky.
Pro tip: the first time you light a candle, let it burn for 2-3 hours, or until the whole surface is liquid. Wax has muscle memory, and this trains it to burn evenly and last as long as possible. You'll also want to get in the habit of trimming the wick to 1/4" before lighting to prevent tunneling and excessive smoking.
“Anyone who has taken a psychology class knows that a familiar scent can transport you right back to where you were. Just like music, it pulls a trigger in your brain. Sid has provided playlists for years – you can find them on the site — and now we hope to fill your homes with scent from us as well.”
