There's hardly anything we can say about Persol that's not in their name — “for sun” in Italian — but it's one of the oldest and most iconic eyewear companies on the planet. You've seen their sunglasses on Marcello Mastroianni, Greta Garbo, Reinhold Messner, and on Steve McQueen (this very style! the 714!) in The Thomas Crown Affair. Every pair is still made by hand at the original 1917 factory in Turin. They're cool.
