For a lot of people, Diptyque makes the quintessential “status candle”: storied, French, and housed in a glass cup that's beautiful enough to have a second life as a desktop pen holder long after the wax is gone. It also smells pretty fantastic. In short, the hype is real. This is a limited-edition set of three mini candles inspired by the Mediterranean coast in summer: floral and citrusy Citronnelle (lemongrass,) earthy and mineral Feuille de Lavande (lavender leaves,) and fresh Verveine (Verbena).

PRO TIPS FOR BURNING CANDLES

The first time you light a candle, let it burn for 2-3 hours, or until the whole surface is liquid. Wax has muscle memory, and this trains it to burn evenly and last as long as possible. You'll also want to get in the habit of trimming the wick to 1/4" before lighting to prevent tunneling and excessive smoking.
