The Icon is the shape that started it all — think 'collared shirt' in its purest form — with a classic, scaled-down point collar and a slim cut. Dead-simple, dead chic. This chambray one happens to be our bestseller, made of Italian cotolino that's made with real indigo and will fade beautifully the more it's washed and worn.
With any true indigo fabric, there’s a risk of color transfer, where a little blue makes its way to light-colored fabrics or your skin. This is called crocking, and it usually comes out in the washing machine or the shower, respectively! It’s inherent to natural indigo dye, and it’s part of what makes those garments fade so beautifully. Still, for the first few wears, we recommend laundering separately and staying away from light-colored upholstery.
“I am really feeling chambray right now. Though to be honest – I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t feeling chambray. Seasonless – timeless – ageless. Like blue jeans for your top half. Soft, personal, and neutral enough for your own personality to come through.”
