ATLANTA
We opened Ann Mashburn in 2010, as a feminine equivalent of our existing Sid Mashburn men's shop on the Westside of Atlanta. Inside, it's airy and bright, with whitewashed floors, a cantilevered marble cash wrap, lemon-yellow silk curtains, and artwork by Atlanta friends Carolyn Carr and Sally King Benedict. A dedicated shoes and accessories department sits next door, and the back opens up to connect to the men's store, where we share a full-service, open-kitchen-style tailoring shop for the perfect fit. Come see us — we'll have smiling faces to greet you, something great on the stereo, and a cold Pellegrino (or maybe a Bulleit and Coke) at the ready.
Cara has been in retail since high school. While she's worked with some brands you've definitely heard of, her favorite job was at a vintage store in Pittsburgh, where she sharpened her eye for mixing eras. (No one can style an antique brooch or a Made-to-Order shirt like she does.) Cara's taste and warm, whip-smart humor make her a fantastic person to shop with — prepare to leave with lifted spirits and a great outfit. Outside the shop, you can find her perusing antique stores, cooking Italian food, tending to her plants, and hanging out with her dog.
