The Balmacaan style has a surprisingly American backstory — it was created by a New York aristocrat and expat who commissioned a single-breasted, raglan-sleeve walking coat from his London tailor and named it after his shooting estate in the Scottish Highlands. The style took off, the tailor had the name trademarked, and the rest is history. This one's made in Portugal out of an all-weather Italian nylon that's both water resistant and quick to dry.
