Happy (almost) New Year
Wishing a happy and healthy New Year to you and yours... we're ready for 2023. Here's how we're relaxing this weekend to ring out the old and in the new. Cheers.
Making
We'll cook the traditional pot of greens (for good luck) using a recipe from Eddie Hernandez, the James Beard-nominated chef behind our favorite Taqueria Del Sol. On the side, we'll do black-eyed peas and throw in Andouille sausage... another tip from Eddie. Kind of a French-Mexican mashup.
Burning
There's nothing like scent to bring back memories and start new ones. We created candles — scents for your home, named for our home — in three scents perfumed in Grasse. One masculine, one feminine and one unisex (although we consider all three pretty unisex.) We’ve been burning them nonstop around our house, and you can pick up your own here.
Drinking
We went to Napa for the first time this year and finally got to visit our friends at Faust Wines. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is one of our favorites and perfect for celebrating... tastes even better having visited. Give it a try and you'll want to book a trip, too.
Listening
Sid's made his annual playlist to ring in the New Year. It's 99 songs, which should keep you going for awhile, but if you have an especially long night, you can dip into the ones from years past...
Thank you for a great year. We'll see you in 2023. Cheers.
