Bedford cord is kind of its own thing... it's got super-faint north-south ridges like a traditional cord, but it's less textured and more durable. Like corduroy without the fill. It's named for the mill town in Massachusetts where it was developed, but — go figure — this one is from Italy. Anyway, it makes a great 4-season pair of pants. Just like all of our 5-pockets, the shape of these riffs on two other longtime favorites: think Levi's 501s with more taper, APC New Standards with more room in the rise, and slimmer than both from the knee down. They're made in Italy with blue oxford pocketing, a button fly, brass rivets, chain-stitched hems, and clean, unbranded back pockets.
