A short-sleeved button-down shirt is very Beach Boys, especially in a retro-feeling floral poplin... ideal for warmer weather, surfboard optional. The collar roll is particularly good, and there's also a button at the back of the collar. It's an old-school detail originally designed to keep your tie in place, but we just like the way it looks. And, as always, there are extra-thick buttons, a long-enough-to-stay-tucked-in shirttail, and an overall cut that's slim but never skinny. (FYI Sid likes the extra length, but you can always get it shortened.) This one's made of a super-cool batik poplin from Ratti®, one of our favorite Italian textile houses and maker of the world's most incredible prints.
