Milan-based La DoubleJ makes party-ready skirts and dresses in reissued vintage fabrics, “distilled through a lens of pure joy, eye-popping print and love of all things maximal.” Sounds about right! The name of this style is especially inspired — LDJ calls it the perfect “ride around Rome on the back of a scooter” piece — and it’s a twist on a classic shirtdress with a mini-length hemline, a voluminous front ruche, and fabric-covered buttons down the front. It’s made of striped, summer-weight poplin with a crisper, lighter feel than LDJ’s typical cotton poplin.
