Caran d'Ache has been making some of our favorite writing utensils in Switzerland for nearly a century. They're good. This is a fountain pen modeled after their classic ballpoint, with some elements the same (enamel-coated hexagonal body, angled clip,) and some different (black resin grip, postable snap-on cap, fine stainless steel fountain nib.) It comes with one "Idyllic Blue" Chromatics ink cartridge, although we sell refills in "Cosmic Black" if that's more your speed. Not the kind of pen you lend lightly, which means it makes an excellent gift.
