Midcentury it-brand Braun AG made everything from timepieces to toothbrushes, all with a pared-down, super-minimal aesthetic. And they’re still at it today! (Dieter Rams kind of defined the look, and his work is a not-so-secret precursor to Apple's entire product aesthetic.) Their travel alarm clock is just as well-designed as the rest of the range, created in the late 80's by Dietrich Lubs. The yellow second hand has become somewhat of an if-you-know-you-know icon in the design world, and the luminous tips make for great legibility, even in the dark. Small, lightweight, and precise — a perfect (and very cool) travel companion.
